Which One Comes First Economic Development or...

Environmental problems mainly generated in the economic activity, therefore it should be resolved together with the economic activity. In both developed and developing countries, there is always an argument, stated that whether the economic development come first or the environmental conservation come first? The former follows the â€Å"develop first, conservation later† model while the latter follows the â€Å"conservation while development† model. For developing countries which also known as Third World countries, which model should be follow to achieve a win-win situation which benefits both human beings and environment. Destruction of forest which also known as deforestation caused the natives people lost their home and they have nowhere to go. Deforestation cause the rise of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which will trap the heat and cause the temperature on surface of earth to increase. This may cause the changes of climate and turn the fertile areas into desert or flood areas which will damage the habitat of many living organisms. The development of economy which can give a better lifestyle and enhance quality of life will not resists by most of the people. However, we must insist on the sustainable development which combines ec onomic development, environment conservation and ethical justice. Uncontrolled population growth of human beings has a negative impact to the environment. In Africa, due to the rapid growth of population, basic needs such as food and water are far behind the demand of the populations which caused poverty and environmental issues.
